My experiences were far greater then I realized at the time.

My experiences were far greater then I realized at the time.
My friends truer then I felt
My family warmer then the skillet
My life wide as the universe
but my selfish and exploring

I will not categorize myself
as a hero of the time
but the baby boomers and their parents have just completed
the hidden dream within the lie

It was not I that found hope in despair
nor I who looked into the the reapers sack
but small as any grain of sand that makes the castle
I lived without prejudice
and in a moment stepped forward

Without sharing I wept
