Wild Bill Taylor's Twins of Eden PDF E-mail
new poem by wild bill taylor

Across the salient, narrows,
stood, time, dismal in her

plenty;

twins of Eden, sing, a lost
cantina,

lace, a plenty,

you, loved, before

darkness covered our
mountains,

you clung to me,
before the yelling November,

warned,

we were taken,

the last gentle kiss on
your lips,

revived, the pentameter

of my selfish watch,
forever, now only in our nightmarish
dreams,

you appear, before dawn’s bald
head,

you, did not recognize, me, older
now,

the smiles have receded,
past the laughing mock;

“I love you”, is now a whisper’s
breath,

I held you,
before, the salient opening,

and the rest of them,

came home to hollow whispers,

as, history’s

                      eternal

                                     ghosts…
