Two Poems

A boyfriend named Fuck

If there was a woman named Death
would I marry her,
marry her carry
her, drop her on the bed
on the carpet floor,
on pillows mattress head
have her on the floor,
as she conducts the
screeching walls and
small scale tornadoes-
she's a match-lit witch, and I won't
live till my wedding night,
when I'll live for 15 mins,
to die in six hundred gallon tears
cried my filthy woman Death

If you had a girlfriend named Love
would it trouble you with her
eyes so
     blind, she can never
see you: dance or smile,
walk out a tunnel with a smile,
empty a cold one with a smile and
roll away,
and if she had
a daughter named Wine
would you drink her kisses
and control your heart--
she never listens and never
cleans windows, and in the houses
with uncleaned windowsÖ

If I was your boyfriend named Fuck
would you let me crawl like a silverfish on
the floor at night
in the penthouse suite,
to the window sill,
through a spill of wine,
bellow 50 cyclones worth,
to the earthquake night
as a joker said
"Earth shook that night"
would you let me creep
over your white dress
would let me calculate
all the times I died, all the times
I drank, all the windows
I never cleaned,
and divide by two all the
I love you?

Every Damn Night

I lie in my bed.
when no one's really sure
where the truth is
and where the sun is -
y'know sumwhere under there, yes,
a woman and cat whistle to me
in their sleep -
Then , HE wakes and
doesn't walk he falls forward
through running
cars, median strip-
his bucket shovels
the pavement and
the sun is deeper, deep
under, under there,
somewhere, he screams

Have a Heart! to cool sleek cars.
I need little help little sir
Have a heart ma'am , Ms.,

I can't sleep
so, I get up.
But he down there son,
givin' his heart away
for good,
Have a heart-
I can't take it.
